Shawnee Speaks & Sings set for June 6



We're so excited to offer a NEW event: Shawnee Speaks & Sings! 🎙📖🎶 The first event, which includes a featured artist as well as an open mic night, will be 7-9 p.m. Thursday, June 6. It's free to attend, and you can expect poetry, music, comedy and more! Open mic participants need to sign up 6:30-7 p.m. that evening. Full pours of guest beers are only $5 on Thursdays!


The featured artist will be Sarah Worrel. Worrel has short stories in Coal City Review and James Gunn’s Ad Astra. She co-authored her first and second books of poetry with James Benger: Misfits in the Front Row and Ravenous and Salivating. Her poems have appeared at The Daily Drunk, 150kansaspoems, Winedrunk Sidewalk: Shipwrecked in Trumpland, and in 365 Days: A Poetry Anthology volumes 1, 2, 3, and 4.
